So...as I sit here today working on getting everything ready for production on a new sign we are currently working on for a client here in the Jacksonville area I wanted to fill you guys in on what we are doing with some photos of each step of the way with our new Vortech Router. We have here our acrylic placed on the MDF above the table with double-sided tape holding the acrylic down. We have already uploaded our pattern into MACH 3 and are ready to run it. Spindle flying at 24,000 rpms and the Vortech Router is screaming as loud as the customer that wanted this sign yesterday!
Here's some cutting in action in the next photo....

Drum Roll please....

What we were building here with our Craftsman 510 Vortech Router was a single face for our new "Six Pockets" sign we are building. The amazing part of this project is that we learned how fast the Vortech Router can really cut through some material. It cut out the faces for the entire job in around 40~45 minutes with very little supervision. We are more and more impressed by the machine everyday. We have given it a nickname, Speedy. This has easily been one of the best purchases we have made so far. It has increased our production time by about 53~60%. Which in turn has made it to where we will be able to bust out a set of internally-illuminated channel letters in 3~4 business days. Whereas before it was taking us anywhere from 7~10 business days. In my next blog later today I will post pics of the sign on the wall, finished products are always easier on the eyes! We never could have imagined getting the sign done this fast without our new Vortech Router!
